Jon-jon needs You! Stroke survivor

Donation protected
On December 2, 2017, Houston, TX at around 3:00 am, our brother Jon Ward woke up and couldn't move. Luckily, he was able to call our sister, who was upstairs, her boyfriend and herself was able to get him to the nearest hospital. We appreciate all the Prayers for him, as the Doctor's said, they expected him to be brain dead, by now, or not have any speech at all. God IS Good!! At the age of 35 yrs old, Jon had suffered a stroke. He has since been paralyzed on the right side of his body. He has been diagnosed with Hemiparesis, Seizures & Tramatic Brain injury. He suffers from chronic and extreme migraines, since the stroke, due to blood on the brain. The migraines are being caused by the brain swelling, on the right side, and the left side is being pushed against the skull, causing pressure and blood on the brain. They have not yet decided whether to release the pressure on the brain until, they see if the steriods will work. He suffers from about 10+ migraines/ daily, where he needs all lights out, windows shaded, and has to wear sunglasses. He was transferred to a rehabilitation center, in Houston, TX and had started physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy. His main goal was to hopefully, get his feeling back, in the right side, so that he could hold his daughter for her Birthday. On December 10, 2017, Jon suffered a seizure and was temporarily paralyzed on the left side of his body, but has since re-gained the feeling back, on the left side. On December 19, 2017, out of nowhere, Jon suffered from an extemely dangerous spike in his blood pressure, and extreme head pain, and they had to call for a crash cart, to work on him. He was then transferred to the emergency unit at St. Lukes Hospital in Houston, TX. He will be transferred back to the rehabilation center, December 27, 2017, in Houston ,TX to continue physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy. Medical bills and his, soon to be, daily living expenses will need help.  When he gets discharged he will reside with our sister for a while, until it is safe for him to travel.   Jon will eventually have to be transferred to California to reside with our Mother since her home is, somewhat, handicap accessible. Myself (Doe), Mother and younger brother (Jeremiah Ward), will help with his recovery care, once he is in California.    His dog, Olaf, will need to be trained as a service dog, for him.  I have included links. Berger & Shade K9 training Cost $900-$1000; 4 weeks. www.modernk9s.com Voraussehen Kennels Cost $900- $1000; 4 weeks www.dogtraininghouston.net Medical dog certification certificate cost $200 Jon's Medical cost is surpassimg his insurance coverage also,  as he is not able to work for sometime. Money will be used for his rehabilation cost, getting his dog certified as a service dog, help with his transfer from Texas to California. Medical equipment, home adjustments not covered by his health insurance and any co-pays, needed to be paid. To pay for a medical certified staff to fly with him, when he is transferred to Califonia. (Not fully covered by health insurance).  Some money will also be used to fly his children to visit with him, after he is transferred to California.  As anybody that knows him, his 3 children are his EVERYTHING!! Anyone who knows our brother, knows he has always been the life of the family/ party. He is always smiling. This is going to be a long recovery, but we have faith that God, Family and friends will see him thru this. Even through all he is going thru, he still finds time to make people laugh, and keep a smile on his face. If you could find it in your heart to give what you can, it will be greatly appreciated. Thank you and God Bless!! You can also follow his progress on his instagram account. https://www.instagram.com/jj2funny15/
