Jones Family Totaled Car Accident Recovery Fund
Donation protected
On September 19, 2023, I received the terrible news that my oldest daughter, Kylee, and her family (partner - Anthony, Sr. and 1 year old son, Anthony Jr.) were involved in a traumatic car accident. The accident resulted in a severe break in Kylee's foot/heel, immobilizing her for months, and the complete loss of their family car. Since the accident, Kylee has been mostly confined to a recliner in the living room, doing her best to take care of her young son without being able to move freely (she is under doctor's orders to stay off of her foot as much as possible until mid-January). They have been a one-income family before and after the accident; and in helping with Kylee's medical appointments, combined with missing work to care for and meet the needs of their one-year-old son, Anthony Sr. lost his job last week.
Anthony Jr. (nicknamed "Lucky" by family) is an adorable one-year-old little boy, and was in the car when the accident happened. Fortunately, he had just been fitted for a new car seat after his first birthday, and had only slight soreness in his legs after the wreck. Anthony Sr. sustained slight injuries and did miss work due to physical trauma sustained in the accident. The family has lost all means of transportation, and another problem they will be challenged to overcome - is helping Anthony Sr. with transportation to secure and start a new job as soon as possible.
My daughter, Kylee, has been on a road of recovery from addiction and has been clean from drugs for over two years. My future son-in-law, Anthony Sr., has never used alcohol or drugs and together they have made a future in raising their child and growing their relationship. Anthony Sr. has always done his best to provide for his family, and has been reluctant to reach out for help. I am very proud of them both for overcoming so many of life's challenges and being wonderful parents to my grandson. They have always lived humbly, with Kylee staying home to raise "Lucky" while his father worked.
As the mother and grandmother, I am setting up this fund because I know that their situation has reached a point of needing the generosity and support of kind donors, relatives and friends. The young Jones family will directly receive 100% of all funds raised, with all monies going directly into their family account.
The family is currently behind on a number of their bills and will be facing great housing and living instability until after the New Year 2024. They would greatly benefit from and appreciate some help with living expenses, utilities, incidentals, transportation, baby needs, and cat food and supplies. Anthony Sr. is already seeking new employment, but starting a new job will take some time - and time will go by fast without an steady income in the next few weeks. With the holidays upon us, the Jones family can sure use some Christmas Angels!
FUNDS RAISED WILL BE USED FOR: Overdue utility, phone and internet bills ($800); 1/2 rent for December 2023 and rent for January 2024 ($1200); Incidentals, cat food and supplies, and help with transportation ($500+)
Thank you for reading, sharing, donating and/or helping this young family recover from this hardship!
