Jones' Family California Trip Home

As most of you know, our dear friend, Stacy, just recently discovered that her cancer has spread, and a very large tumor is now growing in her liver. Although it is still breast cancer, it is a different type, known as triple negative breast cancer, very aggressive. Treatment options for this type of cancer are extremely limited. She is awaiting word back from a new doctor in Charlotte, NC, to see if she will qualify for an immunotherapy trial which would consist of two different forms of chemo. Next week she will have her port re-inserted, and hopes to move forward with this treatment within the next 2 to 3 weeks.




Which brings me to the reason I am reaching out to all of you today… In hopes to find an answer to the question “What can I do to help?”




After talking to Stacy, my wish is to collect funds, plan and organize a trip out to California for Stacy, Wesley and her two boys, giving her the chance to go back home, see extended family and friends, and to show her children where she grew up. If any of you wish to donate to this effort (for plane tickets, money for meals, gas and lodging, and possibly Park passes to Disneyland if enough $ is collected) please do so through this "go-fund-me" site. I have never used a site like this before, but it seemed to be the best way for folks to conveniently participate if they wish. Please know I am also open to, and thankful for those that wish to donate directly to me, without going through the site. If it turns out that Stacy is unable to take this trip, then all money raised will be given to the Jones' and would go towards any immediate medical needs.

PLEASE know that I don’t wish to pressure ANYONE to participate, but am only trying to offer a convenient opportunity for those that wish to help.
