Jonathans Around the Bay in a Day

Yo guys, this weekend i am about to partake in this colossal bike ride called "Around the Bay in a Day" cycling a total of 250km in one day is going to be no walk in the park. I am fundraising for a great cause called Beyond Blue. The reason i am linking up with Beyond Blue for this event is because for me in the essence of why i cycle is closely connected to overcoming big hurdles in life such as anxiety, stress and depression. The first time i ever cycled properly was when i was in Japan, i came up with the grand plan to cycle around the whole of Japan in one month, the day i embarked on this voyage i had only ever cycled 40kms in one day. With my Goal very clear to start and finish in Tokyo i covered over 5500kms circamnavigating the length of Japan twice some days covering over 260kms. What i learnt in this time goes far beyond getting on a bike with a keen spirit and open mind, this voyage became a soul searching experience almost a pilgrimage you could say in finding oneself, never in my life have i ever felt so much love for the world, never have i ever felt so connected so much stillness and peace from within then when i was in the saddle. Cycling has amazing healing benefits and that is the reason why i am doing this event.
