Jonathan's Accident

My son-in-law Jonathan had an accident on New Year's Eve. He was lighting a firework and it blew through the palm of his hand, and caused a horrible injury that almost resulted in him losing his hand. On January 1st he was in major surgery for 8 hours, and they were able to save his hand and all of his fingers by taking arteries and nerves from his leg. Right now he is being monitored every hour to make sure the blood flow continues to stay strong in his fingers so he won't lose any of them. They left the wound open for now and have it wrapped up of course. On January 3rd and January 5th they did additional surgeries to clean it all out again and remove anymore dead tissue that had formed. So far he has strong blood flow to his fingers, he has some feeling in them, and the surgeon says it looks great considering the trauma that was causeed. On January 7th they are going to do a major reconstructive surgery to hopefully help him be able to use his hand again. They are expecting him to be in the hospital for at least 2 weeks. He will also need additional surgeries and alot of therapy. This is such a tragedy for them. Jonathan is such a good person with a heart of gold that would help anyone at any given time, and always has with no questions asked. Due to Jonathan's medical bills and being out of work for an unknown amount of time at this point, this is putting a huge financial burden on them. If you are able to, please help us help them relieve some of the financial stress so he can solely focus on his recovery. And if you are not able to help, please say a prayer for Jonathan, Taylor and their girls. They have a long road ahead of them, but with all of our love and support they will able to make it through all of this.
