I could personally write many a wonderful thing about Jonny, and so could countless other people who had the pleasure of knowing him throughout his life. It would be best to read his obituary linked right here:

I will take an excerpt to explain as him as best I can, "Jonny will not be defined by his addiction, but rather by his kind and loving heart to children, dogs, the elderly and to everyone he met. He had a quick wit and love to brighten the day with a random meme on Facebook or a goofy Snapchat. Jonny was beautiful inside and out and had recently enjoyed a long stretch in recovery, which enabled him to work, play, travel and buy his dream car, that big red Jeep."
Despite his long stretch in recovery, it was in fact a relapse that lead to his loss of life. We can't bring Jonny back, but we can do something great in his name. All money donated to this campaign will be put into a scholarship fund for Deer Hollow Recovery and Wellness Centers located in Utah. The goal of $15k will fully cover(or partially if the goal isn't met) an individual's inpatient treatment program. Deer Hollow will also MATCH any funds donated to this campaign.

There is no timeline for how soon the funds are needed, they were needed yesterday as we are admidst specifically an opiate crisis right now in the US and people are dying at an alarming rate because individuals are unable to get the help needed to fight back against their addiction. This scholarship of course will be open to all individuals suffering from any addiction just so that is made clear.
If you are unable to donate to the funds then please consider volunteering or service work for any drug and alcohol recovery related organizations in your area.
