Dear family and friends,
My name is Jonathan Morales Sanchez. I am tennis player and 18-year-old student at Niagara Academy of Tennis in, Ontario, Canada. I come from a humble family whose economic limitations led me to start as a ball boy when I was 9 at the Brenamiel Tennis Club, in Oaxaca, Mexico. Since then, I have been working hard to get to realize my dream of playing on the professional tennis circuit.
In 2012, at the age of 14 I had the opportunity to meet Walter Garcia, coach of Niagara Academy who offered me a tennis and academic scholarship after seeing my potential. Ever since I have managed to adapt to a new culture and language and also succeeded with academic requirements of high school, which allowed me to graduate last June. On the tennis end, I have substantially improved tennis, having achieved more than 30 titles at different tournaments at a Provincial, National and international levels.
Currently, I am facing the opportunity to be part of a Division 1 tennis team at Southern Utah University, USA. I have been awarded a combined tennis and academic scholarship of 75% or US$ 20,000 per year to study Business Management. At this point I have to come up with US$ 7,000 to cover the remaining 20% of tuition left and additional costs to attend college. For this, I have been helping as a coach at the Academy, however, given the closeness of the date I must arrive at the university in August 19, I will be unable to accumulate that amount. Therefore, I am writing you to ask you any financial assistance through this GoFundMe online link in order to raise enough money to pay for my school.

Yo, Jonathan Morales Sánchez, tenista y estudiante de 18 años de la preparatoria de Niágara Academy, Ontario, Canadá, provengo de una familia humilde, cuyas limitaciones económicas me llevaron a desempeñarme como recoge pelotas, cuando apenas tenía 9 años, en el club de tenis Brenamiel de mi ciudad natal, Oaxaca (México). Desde entonces no he dejado de trabajar duro para conseguir mi sueño: el de ser tenista profesional.
En el año 2012, a los 14 años tuve la oportunidad de conocer a Walter García, coach de Niágara Academy of Tennis, quien después de observar mi desempeño tenístico me ofreció una beca académica para continuar mis estudios y perfeccionar mi tenis. Desde ese momento, he logrado, no sólo adaptarme a una nueva cultura e idioma, sino además, cumplir con todos los requisitos académicos de la preparatoria, lo cual me permitió graduarme el pasado mes de junio y mejorar substancialmente mi tenis, habiendo logrado más de 30 títulos en distintos torneos a nivel provincial, nacional e internacional.
En los actuales momentos, me encuentro frente a la oportunidad de formar parte de un equipo de tenis de División 1 en la Universidad Sureste de Utah, Estados Unidos. Gracias a mi desempeño tenístico y académico me ha sido otorgada una beca del 75% (US$ 20,000), quedándome por pagar US$ 7,000, para poder cursar el primer año de mis estudios en Gerencia de Negocios. Para ello, he estado ayudando como entrenador en la Academia, sin embargo, dada la cercanía de la fecha en que debo ingresar a la universidad (17 de agosto), me será imposible lograr acumular el dinero que necesito, por lo que he decido escribirle a usted para solicitarle su valiosa ayuda por este GoFundme link.
