Jonathan G - Freedom in Canada

Dear friends, Family and those willing to help, 

I was born in beautiful Venezuela along with my brother Kenny and younger brother Jonathan. 

My mom and dad divorced 18 years ago which led to my brother Kenny and I moving to Canada with my mom (she is Canadian). 
My dad, Jonathan and other family members are still in Venezuela. Jonathan is our half brother from our dad's second marriage which is why he never left.

I'm not sure if you're aware of the sad and horrible situation Venezuela is currently enduring but let me tell you that words are not enough to explain the severe crisis the Country is currently enduring. 

Jonathan is currently living in Vancouver with my brother Kenny and is seeking refugee status in order to stay in Canada. 

We have been seeking help from lawyers and have been told by several firms that fees can be up to $10,000 or more. My family in Venezuela has been hit hard by the current situation and are unfortunately unable to help us financially. This is where we need your help. 

Jonathan has a court preceeding scheduled for March and we are seeking financial help from anyone who is able to contribute anything at all. We understand it is a lot to ask and thank you so much in advance for anything you can give. 


The people of Venezuela have extremely limited access to food, medicine, toilettries and other basic necessities.
Jonathan was unable to attend his university in Venezuela due to daily riots, kidnappings and killings. The students of Venezuela are fighting for their future and in doing so are having their lives taken from them. This is no way to live. 

We are trying desperately to keep Jonathan from being sent back to Venezuela. If you are able to assist in any way, we would be forever grateful.
