Jonas Family Farm Barn Fire

We are the staff of the Cherry Ridge Veterinary Clinic and are blessed to be friends and  co-workers with Emily Jonas. Emily's family owns Cold Springs Farm . The Jonas family are some of the kindest, most caring, humble and selfless people that we have ever known. In addition to these wonderful characteristics they are also a community driven family.  Their livelihood was stripped away from them when their barn and most of their livestock were a complete loss  from a fire on 1/9/18.  It is a blessing that nobody was seriously injured while trying to save the livestock and contain the blaze. 

The Jonas family will have a long road ahead of them and we know the family well enough to understand that they will not let this unfortunate event effect them long term. They are a "farming family." Their spirits will not be broken. With this being said, there will certainly be difficulties for them.......with less milk, less cash. There will need to be demolition and disposal expenses that will need to be paid prior to insurance settlements. On top of that there is the cost of living, which does not decrease after suffering a tragedy.
