Jon Paul and his children
On Wednesday September 30th, 2020 my brother-in-law was brought to the Brampton Civic hospital after suffering an immobilizing migraine for 36hours.. he wasn’t able to eat, or function normally whatsoever, by the time he reached the hospital he was unable to walk without being sick. His blood pressure read 218/141 and after dping a few different tests, and finally doing a CT scan where they found that he had a brain bleed in his cerabellum.
They transferred Jon Paul to St. Michaels hospital in Toronto where they hoped to get him under control and tried to do everything they could without having to do surgery to fix the bleed, but we’re unsuccessful. Jon Paul underwent surgery on his cerabellum on Friday October 2nd at 10:00 AM to repair the bleed in his brain and hopefully get him on the mend back to proper health. Before his surgery his speech was starting to slur and his condition wasn’t great. He finished his surgery around 1:30PM the very same day, but has unfortunately not yet woken up. They have done multiple CT scans, anMRI and various other tests to attempt to bring him out of this. Unfortunately at this point it is a mixture of his blood pressure fluctuating, and the pressure in his brain being still too high for them to bring him off of heavy sedation. Every time they bring his sedation down the pressure in his brain spikes, and his oxygen levels deplete.
Jon Paul is a wonderful, kind man who has three beautiful children whom he is the primary caregiver of. His children along with the rest of our families, his mother, sister, nephews and niece, mother in law, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, co-workers need him to come home.
I am asking that if you can, you donate to this cause as we are unsure that if and when Jon Paul wakes up what state he will be in afterwards. He will likely need rehabilitative help the longer this goes on, and help with his three children.
