Jon Jon’s Journey

Hello my name is Lucy Juarez and I am creating this gofundme account along with my older brother John Juarez Jr on behalf of my nephew Jonathan for his parents George and Yolanda Juarez. On October 3rd their lives were turned upside down when what they thought was the stomach flu turned out to be a cancer diagnosis. Wilms (cancer of the kidney) is what their 2yr old son my nephew, Jonathan had been diagnosed with. The next couple of days Jon Jon went through multiple tests to come up with the best plan of action. Doctors and surgeons felt surgery would be best to go in and remove the tumor along with his left kidney. Surgery was set for Monday Oct. 8th, My brother and his wife as well as all of us family and friends were praying for the best.  We finally got word Jon Jon was out of surgery and in recovery. Once again their lives came to a stop when the surgeon explained that the tumor could not be removed due to it rupturing and causing to much damage. Oncologists explained that the next plan would be aggressive chemo and radiation, hoping it will shrink the tumor. Then once again surgery will be needed to try and remove the tumor along with the left kidney. I cant begin to imagine what my brother and sister in law are feeling. No parents deserve to ever have to see their child go through this. My family as well as Yolanda's family are heart broken beyond words. Jon Jon is so loved by so many and I know he is going to fight through this. He has a long recovery ahead of him but with his amazing parents, big brothers, family, and friends by his side we will get through this together. As Georges sister and older brother we want to help them out in any way possible, So we are asking for donations for the family. Donations to help with the time he will be off of work, for medical bills, for all the traveling he does back and forth from Valley Children's Hospital to their home in Tulare to care for their other two children Noah and Aaron. Anything will be greatly appreciated. If you are unable to donate all the family is asking for are prayers. GOD IS GREAT and we believe in the power of prayer and cant wait to see his beautiful face running around the way he should be.
