Jon, Dawn and Ethan’s home destroyed by fire

Our friends, the Wicks & Banka family lost their home and all their belongings in the devastating fires on 12/30 in Louisville. Jon, Dawn and their son Ethan are all safe, however their entire home and all belongings have been destroyed. They are starting the long journey to rebuild their lives and will use these funds to start to purchase some essentials and help secure temporary housing.

Currently, they are with in-laws but hoping to find a rental until they can rebuild.

They are so grateful and appreciative of those who have asked how to help. No one expected these fires to reach these homes. Needless to say, the devastation has been extensive and still unimaginable.

Dawn, Jon and Ethan are dearly loved by many people from multiple communities- from Ethan’s classmates to work environments to neighbors- many friends have been reaching out to the family and want to help in any way that they can, from donating clothing and housewares, to offering money and gift cards. As it will take time for them to figure out exactly what they need and how each thing will be replaced, the family has decided the most organized way to graciously accept the outpouring of love and support is to utilize a GoFundMe account.
