Jon and Nelda Eaton

Hi - we're fundraising for a very special couple. Jon and Nelda Eaton reside in New Boston, Texas, and have been deeply involved in square dancing for better than two decades.

Nelda has been calling since 2003. She currently calls for the Guys and Dolls Square Dance club in New Boston. Since 2013, she has been conducting a winter Square Dance program in Harlingen, Texas. As of 2019, Nelda has been calling at the Fun "N" Sun Resort in San Benito, Texas.

On November 4, 2022 a tornado tore through New Boston. The damage in New Boston was overwhelming. Massive trees were ripped up by their roots, and rooftops were torn off of several of the downtown businesses. Many homes were completely destroyed. The Eatons physically weathered this massive storm, but unfortunately, their home did not. Jon and Nelda's home was completely destroyed in the tornado. A lifetime of memories was scattered across miles of the Texas landscape. Virtually nothing was salvageable.

The Eatons did have insurance. However, their insurance did not nearly cover their losses. I am asking square dancers and friends worldwide to do a couple of things. One, please continue to keep this couple in your prayers, and two, please help them financially. The priceless memories they lost in this storm can never be replaced. However, we can help them replace the physical items that were damaged or lost.
