Joliet West HOSA 2018 ILC Trip

Each year, our HOSA goes to State Leadership Conference and competes against the best people in the state. This year, the 7 members who went to state, got 10 top ten placements, and two top three's. Now we get the chance to compete at International's, and also get the experience to travel to Dallas, Texas, and learn leadership skills, only available to us through this conference. The money will go towards the hotel ($189 a night) and airplane fees ($250 per person), as well as registration fees ($90 per person). Through your donation, we can get to Internationals and prove Joliet West and Illinois proud!

ILC takes place June 27-30, 2018. Krystal Steg and Alyna Navarrete, juniors at Joliet West, will be competing in MRC Partnership, a leadership event that showcases our activity with the MRC, and the way they have helped our HOSA chapter grow. They placed 3rd in Illinois state. Sydnie Martin, a Joliet West senior, will be competing in Transcultural Healthcare, a knowledge test that focuses on cultures, and the way they interact with the medical field. She placed 1st in Illinois state. This will be all of the students second year going to HOSA's International Leadership Conference.
