Jolie's Back Surgery

After a horror year 2017 with Brian battling mouth cancer and us saving for his teeth post surgery, we have been unfortunately given the news our little dachshund Jolie at 7yo has a back condition requiring surgery. Cost $8k+ We are just beside ourselves and with Brian unable to work and Jayne running a small business, we are hesitantly asking if anyone is able to help. We don't really know what else to do.
Jolie is an integral part of our family and it may seem too much to spend on a dog, but she is more than just a dog to us, she is our special little girl that has brought both Brian and I an enormous amount of comfort and love during both hard times and good.
