Joleen General’s House Fire Recovery Fund

Donation protected
On Monday July 1, 2019 at approximately 12:30am, Joleen’s home caught on fire destroying her kitchen and her daughters room.  Fortunately no one was injured in the blaze however the fire & smoke damage is extensive and her whole home will need to be gutted.  Unfortunately, the family home was not insured.

Joleen’s livelihood is made through catering from her home therefore this severely impacts her ability to work and provide for her family.  She resides in the home with 4 daughters ages 13 to 22 , a 3 yr son and her 1 yr old granddaughter.

Joleen is well known throughout the Indigenous community for her culinary and baking skills.   She is an amazing  woman with a big heart who has given so generously to so many people in times of crisis and need.

Much help and funding will be required to repair the damages. So it is our hope that the community will reach out and assist Joleen and her family in this great time of need.

We are also taking E-transfer donations! They can be sent to [email redacted]
