Hi! My name is Amanda Hall and my bestie Lilia and her hubby Tony just lost her heart n soul horse JoJo!! Our hearts are all broken for all that knew this mare knew what a unicorn she was and beast on the courses her and Lilia not only rode but endured together, blood , sweat, tears , and so much love and victory with these two!
JoJo was a beloved family member. Lilia's best friend, and an extension of her. Her spirit lives on in their home. The grief is still unbearable. Every wall, and corner of the family home holds a shared memory.
An unbelievably strong mare and endurance horse. JoJo made her first attempt at Tevis last year, and was cleared to continue at Foresthill. Lilia opted to rider option, in the horse's best interest. She had a charm that was recognized by anyone that met her. Wanted to be everyone's best friend. The bond her and JoJo shared was nothing short of magical. One that comes along once in a lifetime. And all lifelong equestrians could spot it.
Only to be lost to an unthinkable fate.
Lilia and Tony suffered some hard financial hits directly before JoJo's passing. (it always comes in 3's right?). Nothing can help ease the pain of such a painful tragedy. But aiding with the financial burden is a gesture to ease some of the added stress. With the hospital and cremation total. Not including initial on call vet fees they need help during this incredible time of grief.
JoJo's ashes will be spread at Portal Ridge Wildlife Preserve. When Lilia and Tony bare the strength. The rest of her ashes will be forever at Lilia's bedside. Every penny helps, and is greatly appreciated. Please leave your remarks, with any donation. Even if they don't get responded to immediately, they will see every one.
Special thanks to the Palmdale fire dept, Dr. Dyck, And Dr. Mercer at West Coast Equine. For trying everything possible to save her.
Such a special and cherished bond with a horse can not be fully understood by the human brain. It's a remarkable experience and so fragile. And was taken away way too soon. -Manda Morris
