Help Provide Essentials for Leslie & Jennifer after Helene

My name is Lisa Rosario from Deerfield Beach, Florida. I’m originally from NC and have lived in south Florida since 1985, so have seen my fair share of hurricanes, including Andrew in south Dade. As a Florida resident, it’s difficult to breathe a sigh of relief when you realize a hurricane will miss your town only to find it’s directly headed towards a family member & friends in another part of Florida or somewhere else in the country. During a time when so many people are suffering in Florida and North Carolina and beyond, it’s difficult to ask for help, but my sister Leslie and her wife Jennifer were hit hard by Hurricane Helene in New Port Richey, FL. Their home was flooded; the water lines on the walls are around 5 feet high. Luckily, their flood insurance will help them rebuild the interior of their home; however, they lost all of the contents and that is not covered by their flood policy, plus an automobile. They were able to salvage some clothes and dishes.)

I know it’s a lot to ask when there are so many people in need, but if you would consider giving a little bit just to help them with necessities/furnishings to help make their house a home again, it would be greatly appreciated!
