<div>I am reaching out to you on behalf of my dear friend, Diego Gomez, a talented and passionate multidisciplinary artist who has brought so much to our community. Diego is a Queer, 1st-generation Mexican-American who has self-published multiple books and has had his artwork featured in galleries and conventions from San Francisco to Paris. His murals brighten our city, and he has shared his artistic talents through teaching at institutions like Apple, Google, and California College of the Arts.

<div>Tragically, on Monday morning, Diego was assaulted near his home in the Tenderloin. He is currently in the neurological ICU at San Francisco General Hospital, where he is being treated for multiple facial fractures and will remain for at least another week. As today is his birthday, we want to rally around him in this time of need.

<div>Diego has a long road to recovery ahead of him, and we are unsure when he will be able to return to work. Medical bills and living expenses in San Francisco can be overwhelming, and we want to ensure he has the support he needs to focus on healing.
