<div>On June 26th, around 2:45 PM, our beloved grandfather, Jose T. Nolasco Carreno, was violently kidnapped from his family and community.

<div>Despite struggling with diabetes, high blood pressure, and prostate disease, my grandpa never let his health or age define him. Every morning he woke up at 6:00 AM, determined to personally drop off and pick up three of his grandsons from school. He was a constant presence in our lives, our unwavering support, and the one who made sure our family stayed connected and supported.

<div>On top of all of this, he was also the driver of the cargo van we used for our weekend family pop-up in West Los Angeles. But on that day, as he pulled out of our driveway to begin another day of work, his life was violently interrupted.

<div>Three vehicles suddenly boxed in his pickup truck. A group of 6 individuals, who acknowleged they were not ICE, proceeded to intimidate him. When my grandfather, terrified and confused, refused to open his door, they shattered his driver-side window in the middle of the street. According to eyewitnesses, they dragged him from his truck and forced him into an unmarked vehicle before speeding away. After he was kidnapped, one of the unidentified people went into his truck, drove it down the street, parked and took the keys with them. This was a devastating site for our family to witness. Our grandfather was more than just a loved one, he was our backbone and our guiding light. His absence has left a painful void that words can’t fully express.

<div>We are now faced with legal battles and mounting expenses as we fight to bring him home and seek justice. Todas las mañanas se levantaba a las 6 de la mañana, decidido a llevar y recoger personalmente a tres de sus nietos a la escuela. Era una presencia constante en nuestras vidas, nuestro apoyo inquebrantable y quien se aseguraba de que nuestra familia siguiera conectada y apoyada.

<div>Además de todo esto, también era el conductor de la camioneta que utilizábamos para nuestra negocio familiar de fin de semana al oeste de Los Ángeles. Pero ese día, cuando salía de nuestra estacionamento para empezar otro día de trabajo, su vida se vio violentamente interrumpida.

<div>De repente, tres vehículos encajonaron su camioneta. Un grupo de 6 individuos, que reconocieron que no eran del ICE, procedieron a intimidarle. Cuando mi abuelo, aterrorizado y confuso, se negó a abrir la puerta, rompieron la ventanilla del conductor en plena calle. Según testigos presenciales, lo sacaron a rastras de su camioneta y lo obligaron a subir a un vehículo sin placa antes de huir a toda velocidad. Después de secuestrarlo, una de las personas no identificadas entró en su camioneta, la condujo y la estacionó en la calle y se llevó las llaves. Fue un momento devastador para nuestra familia. Nuestro abuelo era más que un ser querido, era nuestra columna vertebral y la luz que nos guiaba. Su ausencia ha dejado un vacío doloroso que no se puede expresar con palabras.

<div>Ahora nos enfrentamos a batallas legales y gastos crecientes en nuestra lucha por traerlo a casa y buscar justicia.
