Our Dad, our families hero and role model just finished the 2018 ride to Conquer Cancer. At 59 years old this marks his 6th year participating in the 200km ride.
We could not be more proud of my Dad and his commitment to this important cause.
This year was especially important to him and our family as my Dad is fighting a battle of his own against the life altering disease know as ALS or motor neurone disease.
Summer 2018 has been filled with many ups and downs as my Dad went through the very difficult diagnosis process for motor neurone disease. Several neurologist appointments and countless exams and tests we received the devasting news in July 2018.
Our family doesn’t know what our journey will bring because every individual’s experience with ALS is different but we know that my Dad is strong and is determined to fight this disease with everything he has. As we will all be beside him with unconditional love and support we remain positive for the future.
There is currently no cure but researchers around the world are working hard to change that and we’re hopeful for a future without ALS.

Our family wants to do our part in contributing to organizations like ALS-TDI. Which is the worlds largest non-profit biotech focused 100% on ALS research.
