<div>Hi everyone, we are writing to ask for your help for our father, Trip Harrison, who was recently diagnosed with an aggressive form of Melanoma. Though typically melanoma manifests as moles or small spots on the skin, our dad’s cancer has spread to his lymph nodes, mouth, and other areas. As you can imagine, this diagnosis has been very difficult for our family, and has set our dad on a path he never could have imagined. He is facing the challenge of finding the best treatment protocol for managing this type of cancer, and then the long recovery process ahead.

<div>Our dad is a rugged, salt of the earth guy, who loves his family, his friends, his pets, and the salt life. He’s a lifelong friend to many he’s known over the past fifty plus years, and enjoys catching up with them on a regular basis. He’s a dedicated and hard-working “jack of all trades” who can take apart and rebuild almost anything. He’s an avid fisherman, and skilled boatsman, who knows his way around the South Florida waters. He can entertain everyone with his many stories and has a memory like an elephant. One of the best things about our dad is he is always willing to help someone out when they are in need. And now, he needs all of us to help him win this battle against cancer, which will surely require much more than he can manage alone. Your generosity will significantly help Trip's fight, allowing him to focus on healing, recovery, and peace of mind that his health and his home will be managed while he is undergoing treatment and unable to work.

<div>While our dad has insurance, the out-of-pocket costs for chemo, radiation, surgery, rehab, and medications will likely be substantial. He will also face expenses like lost wages, and medical travel/accommodations, during this time. Our goal is to allow him to focus on getting better without financial stress. Every donation, regardless of size, will contribute to his goal of beating cancer, which include treatment costs, travel/living expenses, and medication. The campaign funds may also be used to assist with living expenses for his immediate family, while he is out of work, and recovering.
