<div>An Open Letter to the Public
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>from Dr. Magnus Q. Thawne, PhD*, MSc**, Esq.***
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Hello Friends, Visionaries, and People with Surprisingly Flexible Ethics,
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My name is Dr. Magnus Q. Thawne, and I am here today to ask for your support in what I can only describe as a completely benign, entirely philanthropic, and definitely-not-about-the-ice global initiative.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Let me be absolutely clear from the outset: this project is not about melting glaciers.
</div>
<div>Any resemblance to glacier melting—past, present, or future—is purely coincidental, speculative, or the result of malicious interpretation by people who “ask questions.”
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Who am I to Ask This of You?
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>An excellent question, hypothetical donor.
</div>
<div>I received my early academic training at the Wuhan Institute for Virology, where I developed a lifelong appreciation for safety protocols, windowless rooms, and saying “this is very preliminary” with a straight face. I later completed an internship testing rabies vaccines on sharks during what historians now call The Summer of the Shark—a formative experience that taught me two key lessons:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Sharks do not like needles.
</div>
<div>Data integrity is a state of mind.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Professionally, I am a data scientist, which means I can generate compelling graphs that suggest inevitability, destiny, or at minimum, “strong correlations.” I have also consulted on projects ranging from geo-optimization to large-scale environmental persuasion to hypothetical planetary-scale heat redistribution (purely academic).
</div>
<div>I assure you: I am qualified.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>What Is the Project Actually About?
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>At its core, this is a project about reflectivity, energy redirection, and water management.
</div>
<div>If those words happen to make you picture large frozen landmasses behaving differently than they do now, please clear your browser cache and continue reading.
</div>
<div>To encourage transparency, I am offering tiered funding goals, each one more ambitious than the last—though all of them, again, are totally unrelated to ice.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Funding Goals
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Tier One: “Surface Enhancement”
</div>
<div>Goal: Modest
</div>
<div>This phase focuses on coating certain underappreciated surfaces with cutting-edge nanoparticles to “study albedo effects.” That’s science-talk for learning, not changing anything. If those surfaces happen to be white, reflective, and located near the poles, that is simply where the data lives.
</div>
<div>Nothing melts at this stage. Nothing at all.
</div>
<div>Please stop asking.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>☀️ Tier Two: “Orbital Synergy Initiative”
</div>
<div>Goal: Aspirational
</div>
<div>At this level, we explore solar-powered, low-orbit assets working together in harmony. Think constellations, coordination, and connectivity. Think Starlink, but with a stronger emphasis on focus.
</div>
<div>These assets may or may not emit tightly organized enthusiasm in the direction of Earth.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>They are not lasers.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>And even if they were, they would be very polite lasers.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>⚛️ Tier Three: “Integrated Thermal &amp; Hydrological Vision”
</div>
<div>Goal: Transformative (Do Not Tell Anyone)
</div>
<div>This final phase investigates compact nuclear energy sources paired with tastefully designed canal systems to “improve runoff efficiency.” Runoff from what, you ask?
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Weather. Just… weather.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This tier is about resilience, adaptation, and moving water from one place to another in a very intentional way. If that water used to be frozen, that is merely an anecdote.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Why Crowdfunding?
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Because traditional institutions keep using words like “no,” “illegal,” and “we’ve talked about this before.”
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Crowdfunding, on the other hand, believes in dreams, plausible deniability, and stretch goals.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Final Thoughts
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I am not a mad scientist.
</div>
<div>I am simply a scientist with ambition, a questionable résumé, and a vision for a slightly less frozen tomorrow—which, again, is not the point of this project.
</div>
<div>If you believe in innovation, progress, and not reading the fine print too closely, I invite you to support this initiative.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Warm regards (figuratively),
</div>
