I'm on a mission to get people to press pause on their too stressful everyday lives for a bit so they can re-learn how to relax and unwind. How to enjoy the small things. How to be happy again. Nothing fancy, no new-fangled guru trickery, just reconnecting with nature and enjoying simple activities that give you a sense of purpose.
I've found a beautiful spot in Central Portugal that I am converting into a relaxation retreat - Relaxscape . I'm trying to practise what I preach, but it's hard work and I'm doing it on my tod. I believe in this so much that I sold my house in the UK and put all the proceeds from that into this project.
I've been camping out on a building site since October 2018, while tackling the acre of land on my own and juggling my client work in the UK to keep the cash flowing (read more in my blog , Facebook and Instagram ) and I'm close to running out of funds and energy :) I need help getting the garden/outside terraces finished and an annexe built for the facilitators to stay in (or else all my profit from each retreat will go on finding them accommodation).
I believe very strongly in community and collaboration. Through my work as a business and change coach in the UK, I have built up a great network of creative, enterprising and like-minded people, and one of the best things about this new venture is being able to collaborate with them out in Portugal too, as well as making new connections with the wonderfully welcoming local community in my new home in Cardal. They get it, they understand the need for it, plus they are hugely proud (and rightly so) of their beautiful area and want to share it with others. I hope you will get it too.
In return for your donation, I'm offering you a chance to experience a taste of Relaxscape for yourself (different reward levels according to the donation amount). I'd love you too to be part of this growing community of people who understand that relaxation, wellbeing, is something to be taken seriously.
For a £5 donation you get to name one of the chickens when I get them :) (limited number available - please enter your suggestion on the comments section)
For a £10 donation you get to choose a name for one of our olive trees (50 available - please enter your suggestion on the comments section).
For a £20 donation we will plant a tree on your behalf.
For a £30 donation you will receive a bottle of first press olive oil made with handpicked Relaxscape olives (you can come and pick them yourself if you like, on one of our Back to Nature Olive Picking Weeks !)
For a £40 donation you get to name a lovely donkey that I can't wait to rescue :) (if more than one person applies for this, I will put all your names in a hat and draw out one winner!)
For a £50 donation you will receive a hamper of locally grown, locally made produce (e.g. honeys, jams, cheese, meats, wine) or
For a £50 donation you will receive six months' free membership to the Relaxscape e-coach group, which gives you access to personal growth and development advice and support through life changes.
For a £75 donation you will receive a photo print of this beautiful area, taken by photographer Jez Timms
For a £100 donation you will receive one night free when you book to enjoy a week's Relaxscape retreat .
For a £150 donation you will receive a free coaching session with me, an International Coach Federation accredited coach with an eight-year established coaching practice.
For a £200 donation you will receive one night free when you book to enjoy a Relaxscape retreat , plus a year's free membership to the Relaxscape e-coach group, which gives you access to personal growth and development advice and support through life changes.
For a £500 donation we invite you to enjoy 4 days at Relaxscape as our guest (terms apply re dates available). We're ideally located half-way between Lisbon and Porto, so it's the perfect place to start your holiday with a day or two in Lisbon, relax with us for 4 days and explore the local region, then finish your trip in Porto.
