My name is Terri. I am making this GoFundMe for help with my granddaughter's medical conditions. Her mom is a single parent raising her . She turned 15 on Nov 30th, 2024. For 7 days prior to this, she was admitted into UPMC Children's Hospital in Pittsburgh with some very serious heart and medical conditions. She has been dealing with Hashimoto's thyroid conditions for a few years as well as some other medical conditions which caused her heart to go into bradycardia and her organs to fail. After about 7 months here in Altoona, we went to doctor's appointments regularly with no help. Finally, a doctor did an EKG and labs and was extremely worried and demanded that she be taken to Children's Hospital. She was a direct admit and placed on heart monitors, medication, and required close monitoring. Having to be bedridden to control the heart condition as well as other medical concerns, doctors wanted to stabilize her heart and begin treatment plans. . We were blessed with prayers from family and friends and a few donations to help us the week my Daughter and I stayed there with her, having to travel to Altoona and back to get necessities to stay there with her.

Doctors have stated this condition will require a long road ahead of us to continue her treatment and get her healthy again, which will require her Mom and I to take her back and forth to Pittsburgh regularly to be treated and evaluated on her medical conditions. She is on restricted activity at home. In which she can be up for 20 minutes intervals every several hours.

We are asking if you could find it in your hearts to donate. Every dollar helps. And if we could ask for Prayers, please. We need help with traveling and some medical costs. And in events she is admitted again, Mom and I stay with her. This young lady has a heart of gold. She is kind, loving, and such a talented young girl who loves to draw portraits and bake as well as cook.
