<div>The past few months have been been difficult for the Webster Family of Wethersfield, Connecticut. On February 8, 2022 their 10 year old daughter, Rachel Joy Webster, was diagnosed with Ewing’s Sarcoma. Twenty two days before hand her father, Bill, had emergency, quadruple-bypass, open heart surgery. Bill was also recently laid off from his job and is eagerly looking for another position. Family, friends and community members have rallied around Rachel and her family to show support. <br /><iframe media_type="0" media_id="BAkb1x1s65U" class="youtube-replace" title="YouTube video player" style="margin-bottom:20px;width:560px;height:315px;" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/BAkb1x1s65U/?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="1"></iframe><br />Ewing’s Sarcoma is a rare bone and soft tissue cancer that affects children and teenagers. Ewing Sarcoma happens when cells’ DNA change, creating abnormal cells that attack healthy tissue. Each year about 200 children and teenagers in the US are diagnosed with Ewing sarcoma, or about 1% of all cancers in children and adolescents under age 15, and 2% of all cancers in teenagers ages 15 to 19.<br /><br />Rachel’s primary tumor is in her left tibia however she has secondary spots in her left fibula, heel, soft tissue below the knee and cancerous nodules in her lungs. Her treatment will include approximately nine months of chemotherapy. She will also undergo radiation and surgery to remove what tumor is left after other treatments. Rachel has been receiving chemo at Connecticut Children's Medical Center. She will also travel to the Dana Farber Cancer institute in Boston in June for an above-the-knee leg amputation.

<div>The Webster Family remains steadfast in their faith that God will heal Rachel. The scripture they hold onto is Jeremiah 32:17,” Ah Lord God! Behold thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee”. The Websters are thankful to their doctors, nurses, and the wonderful communities of Wethersfield, Haddam, Killingworth and Church family at the Apostolic Fellowship Church in Bloomfield for all the love, support, and generous gifts they have received during this time.
