Nikita's Eagle Scout Project for Charlie

My name is Nikita Jain. I am a Life scout working towards my Eagle rank. I started my scouting journey 6 years back and I am one of the founding member of T2152. I wanted my Eagle service project to benefit animals and kids, that's why I chose this project with Animal Assisted Happiness.

My project is to fix up the enclosure for a Turtle named Charlie at Animal Assisted Happiness. This is a large enclosure of framed iron mesh. Charlie can’t realize that there is a mesh and tries to get out of the enclosure running into the mesh which is painful for Charlie, also damages the fence and little kids who come to visit Charlie get scared too. To avoid that we are planning to retrofit the frame with side panel sheets so Charlie doesn’t think that there is an open space and stops hurting itself. But we will adjust the frame height to ensure that little kids could still enjoy visiting Charlie.

Any help you give is much appreciated to build a better home for Charlie. All the funds collected will be used for the material.
