Hello! My name is Miranda True and my former service dog’s name is Harley! We were matched in 2020 and Harley has provided me with unconditional love, many helpful alerts, tasks, and independence with my medical condition for these past four years! I feel so lucky to have him!

With that being said, Harley, unfortunately, had to enter early retirement this year after sustaining a debilitating injury. He, of course, gets to stay here after retiring and live his best life with our family. With Harley retired early, we are tasked with coming up for the funds needed to receive my next assistance dog.

Future Service dogs require a ton of time and training (18-24 months). It costs anywhere from $15,000-$18,000 to raise/train a service dog for the tasks that will be needed to help me. Service dogs must learn tasks to help someone with a disability, but also learn about riding on public transportation, adapting quickly to new situations, reading human body language, and so much more! They also require lots of vet care in those early puppy stages, as well as a plethora of supplies for all of that important training,
