<div>A couple of years ago, I lost my aunt Balbir Thind to breast cancer. She was my second mother and helped raise me. During that time, I had other close friends who were also fighting similar battles. As I heard more and more stories of mothers, sisters, daughters fighting this disease I was taken back on how common it was. 1 in 8 women (about 13%) will develop invasive breast cancer in their lifetime.
