Support The Adobe Plaza - A Ruidoso Icon & Landmark

UPDATE 8/27/2024 I'm Marianne Mohr, the steward-owner of this iconic, 1950-built Plaza in the heart of Ruidoso. Many old-timers know this location as the Deckhouse. Recently home to Z's Dispensary, Aberrant Moon, Art by Kaitlyn, Buddha Yoga and my primary residence. We all lost our livelihoods due to the damages by flooding caused in part by NM DOT errors. We are not covered for flood perils and asking for support to get DOT to make promised repairs and give me "Just Compensation" (provided by the 4th Amendment) for taking my private property for their use. We only want what is fair and reasonable.

Because DOT unlawfully connected their high-flow culverts to my low-flow private drain (which runs under the Adobe), it exploded, undermining the Adobe's foundation which then collapsed. A donation in any amount is appreciated to help us in our effort to get DOT to compensate us for their damages to my building. This includes legal, paralegal & administrative expenses and loss of income assistance.

ACCOUNTING TRANSPARENCY

Current costs: Our fist bill came for $2,834 7/4/2024 to:

"Over see and manage the protection and clean up of property. 14 concrete barriers set up. Coordinate mud removal from front to place the barriers with DOT. Over see and plan the repairs with state DOT for back culvert. Help tenants move from property. Evacuate as much water as possible from each space to allow for mud to dry out. Open windows. Protection and evacuation of vital files. Secure broken doors to prevent looting/theft. Coordinate with disaster response teams to schedule clean up. Includes the labor of 5 persons."

8/2 Additional payments of $1,000 to Billy Roach for on-site management and labor.
