<div>Our sweet Kennedy has another big surgery coming up on August 29, 2025. This time she’ll be fully sedated in the ICU for ten days before doctors begin to wean her off. After that, the process of medication titration begins. This go around will be about eighteen days in the hospital if all goes smoothly. Once we’re home, there will be weeks of back and forth follow-up care while we find the right dosage and help her little body adjust.

<div>We’ve tried to postpone this surgery and have maxed out every oral medication option available. This girl is on a lot of meds, but her muscle spasms are still not under control. On top of that, we’ve been facing medication shortages and rising out of pocket costs for the ones she does take. After weighing all the options available to us, the Baclofen pump is the best choice for Kennedy’s comfort and stability.

<div>The last GoFundMe helped us get Kennedy her gait trainer and pay off most of her new wheelchair. This time we’re hoping to raise enough to cover the out of pocket cost of a communication device she recently trialed and did so well with. Seeing her have a way to express herself was incredible, and we’re determined to make that possible for her.

<div>We’ve set this fundraiser at $14,000 to help carry the weight of medical bills, equipment, and the extra costs that come with weeks in the hospital and all the follow-up care once we’re home. We’ll also be sharing other ways in the near future to support Kennedy’s ongoing care, but right now this is how we can ask for help.
