<div>I have just learned that there is a cancer in me; I have been diagnosed with Stage IV lung cancer. To be more specific, my diagnosis is positive for metastatic carcinoma, with immunostain phenotype consistent with metastatic lung adenocarcinoma.

<div>This diagnosis comes as a shock as I have never smoked, I eat and live healthily, and there is no family history. 
</div>

<div>Ahead of me is a journey that includes a series of tests to determine the specifics of this cancer, research, and treatments. I am approaching this travail as I have other life challenges and opportunities: dedication, passion, curiosity, wonder, and innovation. I ask you to please join me on this journey; I have always believed in the power of collaboration, fellowship, friendship, and working towards a common cause. I need you!

I am blessed to have insurance to cover much of the cost of what lies ahead, but this challenge will impede my ability to work and cover all the expenses that I face; that is another reason I am launching my campaign.
