Join in Ann’s Road to Recovery

Donation protected

In late December, Ann tragically suffered a pulmonary embolism and stroke, leaving her in the hospital with an unknown prognosis. Despite the hard work ahead of her, Ann is fighting to recover from this devastating incident.

Following her release from Hartford Hospital, Ann began her journey at the Hebrew Center for Heath and Rehabilitation. Ann stayed there for several weeks before being accepted into the Mount Sinai Rehabilitation Hospital on February 2, 2018.

At Mount Sinai, the focus is on acute rehabilitation in which Ann will be working on retraining her body to hopefully be able to walk again. She will also be addressing ongoing short term memory issues. Ann will continue additional treatment with many specialists to include Neurologists, Cardiologists, Pulmonologists and Vascular Surgeons. While at Mount Sinai, Ann will be engaging in over three hours daily of physical therapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy and cognitive therapy.

Although Ann does not have a discharge date, she will require a significant period of home recovery and follow up consultations with rehabilitative medical specialists. At this juncture, Ann has no conceivable return date to work.

During this extremely difficult time, Ann has been surrounded by an enormous amount of family, friends and coworkers. Even with insurance, the best care for Ann has become extremely costly for her family. Please consider supporting Ann and joining in her road to recovery.
