<div>Hello everyone. I am organizing this campaign on behalf of my friend, Erica, who is currently battling 3 types of cancer.
</div>
<div>After extensive testing, Erica was diagnosed in June with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma and Inflammatory Breast Cancer. She was then informed that she also has uterine cancer.
</div>
<div>She began chemotherapy in July for her breast cancer and has a long road ahead of her. She will need a double mastectomy and her pacemaker will need to be relocated because radiation therapy can damage the pacemaker. (The new location is TBD by an electrophysiologist and surgical team.)
</div>
<div>Somehow during all of this she has managed to start a part time job a couple hours a week. Her employer has been so graciously understanding of her situation, allowing schedule flexibility on days when the chemo is just too much.

<div>I’ve known Erica for more than half of my life. At times life has pulled us in separate directions, but if at any time I needed her, all I had to do was reach out, and she was there.
</div>
<div>In fact, Erica has always loved to help others. She has been a volunteer firefighter in her hometown of Jefferson Township for 26 years. She was the first female in their department to reach Life Member and President.
</div>
<div>She is also a dedicated life-long fan of Rick Springfield. His music has carried her through many rough spots in her life. Erica has attended many of Rick's concerts all over the U.S. over the past 28 years and has enjoyed the company of other Rick fans during gatherings before and after events. Her love for his music will never end.
</div>
<div>Sadly, this devastating diagnosis (and the pacemaker) have taken away the opportunity to serve her community and has left her unable to attend music events for a while.
</div>
<div>I’m sure that putting aside so much of what she loves is difficult, but obviously, getting healthy again is the number one priority. However, the cost of testing, chemo, 2-3 surgeries, prescriptions, etc is overwhelming.
</div>
<div>She should be able to concentrate on getting well without having to worry about how to pay for

<div>treatment or having to choose between paying for prescriptions or paying monthly bills and buying basic necessities.
</div>
