I’m writing and asking for help for John Carl Welch. This time last year, Carl started having some lower back pain. After several trips to the ER, urgent care, and family doctor, receiving cortisone shots, and they not lasting long, the pain continued to get worse. It wasn’t until the Friday before Memorial weekend that a doctor at urgent care asked if he had had a prostate screening done recently and to come back Sunday morning to do a screening. Carl left the urgent care clinic with 3 trigger point injections in his lower back. Well, in the middle of the night, Carl's pain was very severe.

ER he went and they ran tests, had to place a catheter, and they started testing him. In May 2024, Carl was diagnosed with advanced stage prostate cancer. In July 2024, Carl was admitted back into the hospital and they did emergency radiation treatments. Since November 2024, Carl has now been receiving chemotherapy treatments once a month. He has endured double pneumonia and is currently back in the hospital with pneumonia in his right lung.
