<div>I am launching this fundraiser in support of my friend, colleague, and union sister Anna Feder. Anna was instrumental in launching our staff union and has been a tireless supporter of her colleagues over the years as a union steward. She is someone who is always there when there's a need, ready to roll up her sleeves and do whatever she can to help others. I am lucky to know her and happy for the opportunity to support her now in her hour of need.

<div>Anna was terminated after seventeen years at Emerson College last year, and the successful Bright Lights Cinema Series she ran was canceled. Anna’s lawsuit describes how Emerson took these actions because she engaged in constitutionally protected speech. We hope to support Anna with the legal fees associated with that lawsuit; protecting her right to free speech is also protecting our own.
