My name is Amanda and most that will see this are familiar with me AND my family. I have no pride left. On November 2023 our daughter was diagnosed with Level 3 Nonverbal Autism. To me that was the end of the world. Living in a small town is just that. And all the resources that she needs to be able to thrive are everywhere but in distance of us. A lot of traveling is needing to be done to meet those resources. This week my daughter was discontinued from 2 therapies (and the only one in our county) due to non reliable transportation. That was a big blow for me as they made me feel my hardest efforts still aren’t enough. My husband now is the main provider as a manger at Sonic while I try to adjust and accommodate the schedule she needs to help her. The problem isn’t keeping up with a vehicle or even the maintenance of it. It’s coming up with a large sum of money at one time. That’s where I’ve turned here. I never cared about a car. I’m 30 and only got my license a few years ago to avoid jail for driving with no license. But having my daughter and hearing she’s special needs gives me a different outlook. I need to be able to be the mother that they say was chosen for this. Even if you can’t donate as I know how life can life please share. If you can donate 1-2 dollars makes a difference. If you’ve made it this far I say thank you for taking the time to read this. I’m not a bad person. Nor a bad mom. I’m just trying to learn a new life the best way I can. Thank you And as always we love who loves us!!
