For years Allan has endured numerous hospitalizations, countless treatments, and the relentless challenges that come with this condition.  Allan's resilience and positivity have always shone through, inspiring everyone who knows him.  Now Allan has been given a life changing opportunity - gene therapy treatment at Mass General Hospital.  This cutting edge procedure holds the promise of dramatically improving Allan's quality of life, offering him the chance to live without the constant fear of another painful crisis.  However, the journey ahead won't be easy.  Allan will need to be hospitalized for 3 to 4 months as he undergoes this treatment and recovers.  During this time he will incur significant medical expenses and bills for essential needs.
