Johnston High School PTO Annual Fundraiser
Thank you for considering a donation to our Johnston High School PTO. Our mission is to support the staff at JHS through Classroom Grants and Staff Appreciation. We raise funds through the sales of Spirit Wear, payment of dues by parents, and charitable donations by parents through Friends of JHS PTO and contributions set up by parents through their employers.
Approximately half of our expenditures are for Classroom Grants. All high school teaching staff have the opportunity to submit a grant request for materials they would like to use in their classroom that aren't covered by the building budget. In the past, we have purchased:
Books for Classrooms
Film Scanners for Art Department
Supplies for Life Skills class
Bass Amp for Band
Quad ruled notebooks for French students
Supplies for the Raku Kiln
Washable weighted blankets
Cultural/diversity simulation to be used in Culture class
We also love to surprise our staff with meals during the longer Parent Teacher Conference days, monthly treats, and ToGo containers for our annual Holiday Cookie Walk.
If you would prefer to send a check, please make it out to "Johnston HS PTO" and drop it off at the attendance (main) office in an envelope marked "Friends of JHS PTO".
