John's USATF Nationals Meet

John runs with On Track Running Club in Jacksonville, NC. He qualified for the USATF National Junior Olympic meet placing 5th for his age group in his 3000 meter run. In the States meet, he ran the 800 meter, 3000 meter and the 1500 meter run. John qualified in the top 8 for regionals in the 3000 and 1500 meter run. He moved on to the Regionals meet where he qualified in the top 5 in the 3000 meter run. Nationals will be held in Kansas where John will be competing in the 3000 meter run against the top kids in the country. We are very proud of him making it this far, as this is quite an accomplishment for a 15 year old.

Our goal of $2,000 is needed for John and his coach to attend Nationals in Kansas. Unfortunately I will not be able to go to this meet with John. Donations will help with purchasing plane tickets, a hotel room, and a rental car. We will need to purchase plane tickets by the 21st of July, 2017.
