My sweet dad, John Renner, died unexpectedly on Sunday, July 16, 2017. He was working for Lyft when his bag, containing life-saving medications, was robbed by a heartless passenger. Soon after the robbery, he suffered a heart attack as a direct result of not having his medications.

This campaign is to help John's widow, my mother, Suzie Renner, keep the home she shared with her husband. She could lose her house in as little as two months, without anywhere else to live. She would be forced to live on the streets, at 71-years-old.
Allow me to tell you about why my kind mother deserves your help, in honor of my father:
John and my mom, Suzie, were music teachers for hundreds of children all over the Valley for decades. They had a booming business, until the economic recession of 2008. Suddenly, many students were no longer able to pay for lessons, so they chose to continue the children's musical education FOR FREE, despite the fact that they were losing everying in the process. Eventually, the schools were forced to cancel the music program. They donated the instruments they had paid for out of their own pockets, to less-fortunate children, so they could keep practicing. My mom and dad believed music was their gift to the world to share with others.
They lost their life's savings, insurance, 401K, businesses, and more, at a time when they should have already been retired.
With my father gone, the monthly income, upon which our family depended, is now gone forever. With tears in my eyes, I report that his death left my mom with substantial funeral and medical bills. Without an income, she has been forced to choose between her own medicine, gas money to see her doctors, groceries, electricity, internet, a cell phone, and other important bills.
My mom and I both suffer from a debilitating, disabling condition, known as Ehlers-Danlos, which leaves us both unable to work. Disability does not recognize Ehlers, as it is a rare condition.
As her daughter, I desperately want to protect my mom, but how can I protect her when doing anything physical causes me great suffering? What I can do, is create a GoFundMe Campaign, and hope that our story touches people's hearts.
I'm proud to say, my father was a United States veteran who served his country honorably during the Vietnam War era.
He would help anyone in trouble. One week before he died, he helped a 24-year-old boy move his furniture from one apartment to another in the Phoenix heat of 115 degrees. The last night he worked, he made $5 on tips, and he gave it to me for my favorite Starbucks drink.
My hope is that those reading this story will feel the same desire to help a stranger that my dad felt when a stranger was in a dire situation.
Help me honor my father, a veteran, a man who selflessly cared for two women for nearly 50 years, by donating to his widow.
