Continued Prayers and family support for John is greatly appreciated!

On July 5th,John went in for a simple procedure to relieve pressure on his trigeminal nerve. This procedure was an outpatient half hour procedure, with one hour of anesthesia recovery, which has turned into a horrible situation. A blood vessel was damaged during procedure that caused a brain bleed. This was not detected for two days until a doctor was concerned that John had not returned to normal state in which he immediately had a CAT scan done that detected the bleeding. The bleed traveled within his brain cavity and caused swelling and pressure to his let frontal lobe that has caused complications. It will take some time for recovery as there is nothing medically to relieve the pressure, his body will have to heal itself. Blood in the brain takes much longer to dissolve so he is looking at a long recovery period.

On July 24th, he was transferred to Craig Medical Center in Englewood, Colorado where he will get treatment for his injury. Craig is one of the top centers in the US that specializes in treatment of John's brain trauma. They have 95% success rate in helping patients recuperate with this kind of injury. He will be there six to eight weeks and possibly sooner depending on how he reacts to treatment.  WE continue to need your prayers. This has devastated John's whole family as we have seen his leadership not only in the community but in his family as well. His vitality for life and concern for his fellow men impacts so many. He is a strong young man and we have faith in his full recovery.  Between Pam his wife, his sister Jeanette and his mother Anita, they have been with him 24-7, sometimes he experiences severe pain but it is slowly subsiding. Pam has been a trooper and has advocated for nothing but the best treatment for John. Again keep us in your prayers and we will keep everyone abreast as to his road to recovery. He is certainly on the road to recovery and is improving every day.

If you would like to contribute for his continued stay at Craig Hospital you can do so by clicking on the link below or by mail. During his rehabilitation, Craig will aggressively work with him physically and psychologically. He does have insurance, but as most know, that only goes so far. John’s greatest chance at regaining full recovery is to stay at Craig Hospital until he is healed and ready to go home.
