 Hello my name is Johnny Gabriel and this is the story of my battle with cancer. I graduated back in 2023 from high school, which was when things began to change foe the worst for me. I had felt a bump on my left testicle but ignored it because I thought it was going to go away like an injury, going into college freshman year and 2024 the size of the bump began to increase significantly until it got out of hand, when the time bad come we went to my doctor's office to get an appointment so they could see it, and immediately they knew it was testicular cancer but to be sure he made me go to a different clinic

 "Assuta Medical Center" to be sure. So we began going to this medical center and they made me run tests until they were able to undoubtedly say I had testicular cancer. After that from February to June they made us drive around so I could take these tests in order for them to safely and surgically remove the tumor. Once we had finished with all the exams we had made. sure to confirm with the clinic that they had received them and we were always reassured that they had so we didn't pay much mine to it, until the day of the surgery arrived. I had woken up early in preparation for my surgery, me and my parents prayed and finally we entered the clinic, we told them that we were there for my surgery only for them to tell us they had none of the paperwork that they themselves had told us they received, which meant I couldn't get my surgery, du to this my condition kept getting worse, so we became desperate and went back to my primary doctor and thankfully they were able to find a UCLA urologist for me, she had me do the same tests they had me do and this time we made sure they received the paper, so from late June to August we were able to do the exams and even get the test done, we had thought everything was over and my life was goin! back to what it used to be, until early 2025

 I began to feel this intense pain in my lower back and left leg, i again thought it was just another injury from the gym so i didn't pay it any mind and would continue walking from January to May the pain only worsening and worsening, I had gone to the hospital and they had told me I had sciatica and prescribed me Naproxen for the pain but nothing helped, I began takin more than I should have and still nothing. Each Month, week, or day that had passed the pain got worse and worse until eventually I decided to ask my urologist if she could schedule me an Xray or MRI for my back and leg to see what was wrong and she agreed, so one day without my parents knowledge I took the car and went to do the MRI and eventually my results came in, so | lied to my parents about going to school and drove to my urologist with my fiancée because I needed someone there with me, due to my fear of hospitals. We finally arrive and once we get in to see my urologist she said, she had some heavy news. She had told me that I have cancer again and the pain I was feeling wasn't sciatica it was because of broken bones. My bones had been decaying because of tumors. Once I get home that day I kept everything to myself even when the pain was unbearable and horrible I still kept pushing until May 5th my fiancée had come over and convinced me to go to the hospital. So we went to the ER and got transferred from my local hospital to UCLA Santa Monica, and I spent 3 months living in the hospital, and throughout my stay there I didn't have it any easier, I had 3 different surgeries one on my back and two on my left leg, along with that there was a moment the doctors had thought I was going to die, due to a fever I had which didn't come down for day no matter what they had done. They had told my dad one night "he may not get to see morning" obviously I made it though, once discharged from the regular hospital they had transferred me to a physical rehab hospital and I stayed there for 2 weeks. After my discharge, I thought my life was back on track to being normal but eventually bad luck struck again, this time we kept having constant battles with my insurance and accepting my chemo treatment, so we kept going through the E.R in order to receive my chemo but whenever this issue happened I already had certain types of visible and physical issues. Eventually after all this my doctor had told me he believed the chemo is doing more bad than good and that Hospice may be best for me rather than chemo, and to brace ourselves for what's to cone this was maybe a month ago, but truthfully although he said it I don't believe him, I'm going to keep fighting for my life and show him that I will live in the name of the lord.
