Shauna Bocquet, a young athlete from Ardrahan, Co. Galway, who at 16 years of age is already a world champion wheelchair racer. Shauna has a dream to win a medal at the next Paralympics, but she has no 400m athletics track anywhere near her home to train on. She and her family and friends are fundraising for that track and we’re going to help her.
I am going to run the 42k Dublim Marathon in Portumna on the October Bank Holiday Weekend to help with this huge undertaking.
Let’s get behind Shauna, let’s support an extraordinary young athlete, and on that day when Shauna goes to the podium at the Paralympics, we can all say we played a part in her success.
