John's Road to Recovery

A few weeks ago, my dad went to his family doctor with some health issues and symptoms which we all assumed were associated with an ulcer of some sort. Some medication, a slight change in diet, and he would be good to go... Unfortunately, after a precautionary endoscopy procedure, my father was diagnosed with esophageal cancer.

For those of you that know my dad, you already know that he is somewhat of a 'jack of all trades.' He is currently a teacher at Ambassador Christian Academy in Glassboro, NJ; a football coach at Clearview High School; a pastor and the founder of Free Indeed Outreach Ministries; a chaplain in New Jersey correctional facilities ; a mentor to many; and most importantly, a grandfather and a father.

My dad has always been a competitor. Whether it was in his high school and college football days at Woodbury High School and Princeton University, or coaching others. He was probably the most competitive coach that Wenonah Elementary School has ever seen (my brothers and I can attest to that). That competitive nature also makes him a fighter. My father has overcome so many obstacles and challenges in his life, and this battle with cancer is just another fight for him to win.

My dad has touched so many lives through his ministry, coaching, teaching, and within his family and friends. Due to medical bills and inability to work, this makes this already physically and emotionally stressful time even more difficult due to finances. My family and I are asking for donations, large or small, to help support my dad through his fight with cancer.
