Getting John DiResta Back On 2 Feet

Dear friends and family. I am mounting this campaign at the recommendation of my two daughters, Sabrina and Shannon. They see the struggles I have been dealing
with for past two months and asked me to tell you my story.

I am a journeyman comedian and woodworker for the last 20 years; living from gig to gig and wood job to wood job. Grinding it out 24/7 for decades, no days off, ever, as Tony Soprano would say, "the hustle never ends..."

Well about two months ago the hustle ended for me. Out of the blue I got a small infection on the outer side of each foot, simultaneously. And having the diabetes I had to be super careful.

But even under a doctor's care my left foot infection grew almost over night, like a flesh eating disease. Down to the bone, not fun.

In mid December I entered Valley Presperterian with one goal: no amputation, save my left foot.

Well with lots of meds and two very painful procedures to scrape-out the infection I survived. Foot saved.

But now I have a huge open wound on the left foot and smaller wound on the right foot.

I am on a home iv-drip for six weeks AND I can not stand for at least another 8 weeks. No wood working, no gigs, no seeing clients.

I'm in a tough spot.

I'm Looking keep my family in tact, I'm looking to keep my shop, in looking to keep my home, all while keeping my dignity. So i am asking for a little bit of help from my friends, family & fans.
