Brain tumor recovery

On June 22, 2017 John was rushed to the Kaiser ER by ambulance because he passed out at work.  At the time we just thought that he got dizzy and passed out.  At the hospital they did a CT scan and found a brain abnormality in his front right lobe.   On July 6, 2017, as he was sitting at home getting ready to go to work he had a grand mal seizure.  He was rushed to the ER again and had another CT scan done, this time the Neurologist had us travel to Sacramento to have an MRI done (his shoulders do not fit in a normal MRI).  The MRI confirmed that he had a brain tumor that was causing seizures and must be removed and biopsied.  John is back to work as we try to get all the pre-op done, but it is only for part time at $10 an hour.  I, Kathleen, am his wife and I am completely disabled wheelchair bound and need assistance to do simple daily tasks, therefore I cannot work anymore.  Our son Jacob is 17 and he is high functioning autistic.  As it stands we are currently on cash aid, food stamps and Medi-Cal.  This keeps us fed and pays our rent but John's wages pays the bills.  Right now we don't know how long he will continue to work.  With brain surgery, which is terrifying enough, could have numerous complications and we do not know how long his recovery time will be.  Also, we have to travel to Redwood City next week to have another MRI done to show the vessels and how complex the tumor is and whether they will be able to remove it all without effecting his brain functions.  Then the Nurosurgeon is in Sacramento and we may have to travel there for the surgery.  There could be a long rehab, we just don't know what the future holds right now for our family.
