John Oates, January 22nd, 2024, Alex Duane's father and best friend, passed. He was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer on December 3rd. . He was in the hospital on and off non stop struggling and in pain. They did treatment on him which caused a blood clot and a brain bleed. They couldn't give him anything to help the brain bleed because he had a blood clot. So they just had to keep him comfortable. Alex works hard as part of the duning staff at Sweetwater. His mom and dad lived with him and his dad was his best friend. His dad work to help pay bills but his mom is unable to work. So now, not only can he not pay to have his dad cremated, but medicade won't help them and hes lost half the income to pay his home bulls as well. Now he doesn't know how they are going to pay rent or even survive without breaking his lease and finding somewhere cheaper to live. He's in a real bad spot and has no family out the to help. Alex is tremendous. He works hard and diligently. This was a major blow to him both financially and mentally. But he has to keep going. His mom still needs him.I need everyone who can to do anything they can to help my friend. Thank you all.
