John needs a new liver

My neighbors, John and Nancy Gunnels, are going through a rough time and really need some help. They are two of the best people I know and it breaks my heart to see them struggling. This is their story.

After recovering physically and financially from a brain tumor, John started to have pain again. This time it was his liver. John and Nancy spent the majority of their savings in search of a diagnosis. They were brushed off by several doctors but they were persistent and demanded a biopsy. The results showed liver cancer.

John needs a new liver! He will require months of treatments in New Orleans before he can be added to the list for a liver donation. This will be a costly endeavor. They are currently low on savings and in danger of losing their home and business.

Any donations received will help pay for travel costs to New Orleans, co-pays, and bills for their home.
