John McDonald's cerebral palsy fund

John McDonald is a a very sweet and loving 2-year-old boy living in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania with his mother Jenn and two sisters, Brielle and Lauren. As an infant, John was diagnosed with cerebral palsy. This summer, he is scheduled to to receive special therapy services as part of a six-week program at Intensive Therapeutics in West Caldwell, New Jersey. This program, for which his mother and father have already paid half of the non-refundable fees, is essential for this ongoing development and recovery. 

On March 26, 2018, John's father Drew McDonald unexpectedly died at the age of just 42. Understandably, this tragedy has caused a significant emotional and financial burden on John and his mother. Your contribution to this fund will enable John to complete this important therapy.

Any amount received in excess of our initial goal will be applied directly to John’s other medical needs.

About me: I’m Craig McDonald from Massachusetts.  I’m John’s uncle and Drew McDonald’s brother. Funds collected will specifically be used to 1) pay off the initial deposit (approximately $3000) which Jenn and Drew made for John’s registration  in the 4-week summer physical therapy program, 2) pay off the remainder of the balance (another $3000 approximately) for John to participate in the physical therapy program, and 3) cover the cost of Jenn and John’s regular  transportation to the program site in New Jersey (about 90 minutes’ drive from their home in Pennsylvania) during the 4-week program as well as one month’s worth of meals for mother and son and hotel accommodations in that area where overnights are required. Funds will be withdrawn and provided to John’s mother Jenn to cover these expenses.
